Is there public transporation directly to Water Taxi Beach?
Yes. You can get to Water Taxi Beach by Subway or LIRR.

By Subway:

7 Train: [Vernon Blvd/Jackson Ave] We are 1 stop from Grand Central Station on the 7 Train. Go to the Jackson/Vernon Stop and walk on Jackson South West towards the Manhattan Skyline. When you get near the Midtown Tunnel follow the signs for 495 West until you reach 51st Avenue. Turn right on 51st and walk to 2nd Street. Turn left on Second Street. Walk past the Crab House and the TennisPort and then turn RIGHT into our driveway.

G Train: Use the 21st Stop. Exit on Jackson Ave. Look for the Manhattan Skyline; walk on Jackson South West towards the Manhattan Skyline. When you get near the Midtown Tunnel follow the signs for 495 West until you reach 51st Avenue. Turn right on 51st and walk to 2nd Street. Turn left on Second Street. Walk past the Crab House and the TennisPort and then turn RIGHT into our driveway.

E/F Train: [23rd St/Ely Ave] -- We have been told the F no longer comes to this stop -- When you exit your near the Citicorp Building. Walk on 23rd to Jackson Ave. Walk on Jackson South West towards the Manhattan Skyline. When you get near the Midtown Tunnel follow the signs for 495 West until you reach 51st Avenue. Turn right on 51st and walk to 2nd Street. Turn left on Second Street. Walk past the Crab House and the TennisPort and then turn RIGHT into our driveway.

By LIRR: There will be NO LIRR trains going into Hunterspoint Ave. train station. You will have to take the LIRR train to the Jamaica Station and then take the subway to Hunterspont Ave. station For a list of LIRR train schedules click here.

What does admission include?
You will pay one fee to get in. You will receive a souvenir six oz. tasting glass with a two ounce pour line. You are welcome to sample any beer that the brewers have.

Will Food be Available?
Water Taxi Beach will have food for purchase. Food does not come with the price of admission

Is The Event Indoor or Outdoor?
The Long Island City Craft Beer Festival will be an outdoor event at Water Taxi Beach. The event will take place rain or shine.

How do I buy tickets for this event?
Tickets can be purchased by clicking here. Buy tickets online and print ticket from your computer before event day.

If I buy one ticket am I allowed to go to both sessions?
A ticket can only be used once, either for the afternoon session or the night session.

Is there an age limit to get into the festival?
No one under the age of 21 will be allowed entrance in the festival! This includes designated drivers who must also be at least 21 years of age. NO children, toddlers, infants, strollers, or pets are permitted. No one will be admitted without a valid photo ID (no exceptions). Proper identification is the responsibility of the attendee. Failure to present proper, valid photo identification (driver’s license or passport) will result in denial of entry with no refund offered.

What is the admission charge for Designated Drivers?
Designated Drivers must also buy a ticket online ($10).

How does the Designated Driver ticket work?
The designated driver buys a special designated driver ticket online ($10). The designated driver does not receive wristband or a tasting glass. They receive a ticket for a free bottle of water. They are able to enjoy all the activities of the festival except they are not allowed to drink any beer. Designated drivers must be at least 21 to enter and must have a valid photo I.D.

Do designated drivers need to be 21?
YES. No one under 21 will be admitted to the festival. Designated Drivers, like everyone else must show proper ID before being allowed admitted into the festival.

Are children or pets permitted to attend?
For your own safety, NO children, toddlers, infants, strollers or pets are permitted and admission tickets for the caregiver will not be honored.

Is Water Taxi Beach really a beach?
Yes, a man made beach, sand and all!

Can I bring my own beach chair and/or blanket?
No. There will be plenty of seating provided at the event.

Festival Rules

  • 21+ Only. Must show valid photo I.D. for admission.
  • Don’t drink and drive! Take mass transit or designate a driver.
  • Promotional photos and video will be taken at the event and you grant permission for your likeness to be used.
  • Drink responsibly, Know your limits!
  • This is a sampling event, 2oz. pours only!
  • All attendees must be properly attired.
  • We reserve the right to check all bags
  • No pets or children allowed.
  • No outside glassware or food permitted.
  • You get one souvenir glass for this event. Replacements $5.00 ea.
  • We reserve the right, at our discretion, to remove any individual(s) from the festival for behaving inappropriately, You will be escorted out by security and not allowed back in!
  • All exits are final. No alcohol permitted outside the event.
